Recalling cars for checking safety measures provided by them is adequate and up to the mark or not, seems to be the latest trend all over the world.car makers are suddenly walking up to the thought whether the cars delivered by them are really fool proof or not when it comes to safety measures. Whenever there is a doubt involved in providing adequate safety to the buyers, the carmakers prefer to recall the cars for checking them out just another time. The latest carmaker to follow this trend is the renowned car manufacturer Volkswagen. This company has recalled as many as 200,000 cars in Brazil on account of checking.
The company spokes person announced that the company has taken the decision to recall 200,000 cars in Brazil in order to recheck whether the rear wheel bearings have been sufficiently lubricated. Though these cars are sold only after rigorous number of checks, yet the company wants to be doubly sure, when it comes to lubricating the rear wheel bearings. It is believed that if the rear wheel bearings of the car are not adequately greased, then the wheels may get locked. In extreme situations, the locked wheel may get detached from the car and fall off leading to a fatal accident.
Volkswagen has recalled 200,000 cars of the NOVO VOYAGE and NOVO GOL model that were made in the Brazil factory of the car manufacturer before June 2009. The Brazil factory of Volkswagen is known to be the third largest manufacturing outlet of the car manufacturer. Most the cars manufactured here are for catering to the local demands and needs.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, Toyota recalled its hybrid model vehicles from worldwide in order to recheck their breaks. Honda also recalled 4, 37,700 cars in North America to fix their air bag problem.
